PreSalona is an academic platform for sharing experiences and networking in the fields of design, architecture, and art.
The Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, University of Arts in Belgrade, through its Department of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, organizes and coordinates PreSalona, with the continuous participation of partner faculties and in collaboration with guest institutions and international faculties.

Within the Faculty of Applied Arts, the organizers of PreSalona collaborate continuously with students and faculty members of the Department of Graphic Design, who develop the event’s visual identity as part of their coursework, and with students of the Department of Photography, who document the programme through photography and video.
The initiator and founder of PreSalona and the author of the platform’s concept is Full Professor Tanja Manojlović, project leader and coordinator at the Department of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, Faculty of Applied Arts. The Faculty provides institutional support for the platform’s development.
Since its establishment, PreSalona has been part of the accompanying programme of the Salon of Architecture, one of Serbia’s leading annual exhibitions of contemporary architecture, with the support of the Museum of Applied Arts. Over time, the platform has expanded its activities and developed new models of collaboration to increase its visibility and encourage greater student involvement.
During the previous years, it has grown into an event that gathers around 120 students, with the following program activities:
Central interdisciplinary workshop of mixed teams of students
Exhibitions and public presentations of student projects realized in classes, extracurricular activities, international competitions, in cooperation with other higher education institutions
Open public lectures in the field of architecture, design, and related fields of creativity and constructive discussions on teaching processes
Public presentations of various artistic disciplines by students from other faculty departments, where young creators are introduced to contemporary tendencies in certain artistic fields.
